What if I already have a logistics audit and/or payment company in place? We fully expect most larger shippers to have one or both in place, which is not a problem. Before getting our opportunity, we even have clients who have two major audit firms in place. It doesn't matter how many audit firms are before us; our rooted knowledge, detailed methodology, and unique approach set us apart and garner results.
-
How do you recover more than my current audit company? It's why we exist; first, we invest in the tools and data to make it possible. From there, the knowledge base we have allows us to understand the areas where others fall short, and the carriers take advantage. I realize this is vague but, does the Colonel tell you his secret blend of spices, or does Mc Donald's tell you what's in their secret sauce? With this in mind, we can't divulge our harvesting recipe.
-
Do we have to meet and spend criteria to be a client of Rooted Logistics? We want this to be a worthwhile endeavor for all involved. Generally speaking, the minimum threshold is $300K in an annual parcel spend and 1 MIL in LTL revenue.
-
What if we are interested in some but not all of your solutions? Our solutions are ala cart. We, of course, encourage prospects to take advantage of all of our knowledge and expertise by engaging with us as much as possible. We do understand that unique situations sometimes make that impossible to do so.
-
How long are your agreements?Agreement length varies based on negotiables, but most engagements are two or three years. We put evergreen language in the agreement, so if it works for all parties, there is no need to address it. Agreements generally stipulate a 60 Day termination option for all parties.
-
What is our financial commitment to engage with Rooted Logistics Services (RLS)?Almost all of our services are on the gain share model. RLS must find recovery or optimization potential and harvest the reward before RSL gets paid. Gain Share Model: 50% Customer 50% Rooted Logistics Example Carrier Billing Audit: RLS recovers 100 dollars from a carrier, carrier issues credit on your invoice. RSL will bill 50 dollars for this credit on its monthly bill. Example Damage Claim Recovery: RSL finds and submits a damage claim, carrier approves the claim and pays 120 dollars for the value of the items and shipping cost. Carrier will send checks to RSL or the customer in the customer's name. RSL will bill the customer 60 dollars for recovery on the monthly bill.
-
What kind of time investment do I have to make to onboard? We understand your time and your staff's time is precious. We require two signed documents, MNDA and Agreement, and access to data, reports, and login(s) to carrier sites. All total should take less than an hour to get us everything we need.
-
Do you provide other services than the ones listed? We do provide other services that are the core needs of our customers. An example is carrier contract compliance. We offer a comprehensive look at all points of a carrier contract to ensure that the carrier contract matches the pricing applied to the invoice. One of the advantages of being a newer company is our nimbleness. If you have a need not listed, let's talk and see if we can support your immediate need.
-
What can I expect in ongoing involvement? We do as much as possible to keep you from having to be engaged. Depending on the nature of the recovery, we may require you to forward some emails to your carrier representative. Most of the time, the carrier rep will accept emails directly from us once notified of our role, and you will just be copied in to keep you apprised of our efforts and their cooperation.
-
What Carriers do you offer recovery for?We work with significant carriers of UPS, FedEx, and DHL for our parcel recovery. In addition, we also tackle recovery for most regional carriers and postal hybrids carriers. We currently do not offer recovery for USPS shipments, as the USPS is generally non-responsive. For LTL Damage Claims, we will work with any LTL carrier for recovery.
